How to File an NOC for Your Maid in Qatar

A No Objection Certificate (NOC) is the current sponsor's formal confirmation that they do not object to their domestic helper transferring to a new sponsor or re-entering Qatar under a new visa. Without it, a local sponsorship transfer cannot proceed. It is the key document that makes hiring a maid through a local transfer possible.

The NOC can be handled entirely digitally via the Metrash2 mobile app:

1. 1Log into the current sponsor's Metrash2 account.
2. 2Navigate to Visa Services → Issue NOC.
3. 3Select Personal Purpose and enter the maid's Qatar ID (QID) number.
4. 4Confirm and submit the request. An approved NOC is usually generated electronically.

Once the current sponsor releases the NOC, the new employer completes the transfer on Metrash2:

1. 1Log into your own Metrash2 account.
2. 2Go to Visa Services → Transfer Sponsorship (or Domestic Worker Services).
3. 3Fill in the required details and upload a copy of your QID, your employment contract, and the maid's documents.
4. 4Pay the transfer fee (QAR 1,000 for the first transfer, QAR 1,500 for the second).

• QAR 1,000— for the maid's first sponsorship transfer
• QAR 1,500 — for the second transfer

The fee is paid by the new sponsor when submitting the transfer request.

If you need a physical NOC document for the Ministry of Interior (MOI) or the Ministry of Labour, it must follow specific requirements:

• It must be fully typed — no handwritten sections, except for signatures.
• It must be officially translated into Arabic by a certified typing center or translation service.
• It must clearly state the full name and QID of both the current and new sponsors, as well as the maid's passport and QID details.
• Both the original English letter and the Arabic translation must be stamped by the current sponsor's company or signed by the sponsor.

Use this template as a starting point for a written NOC. Replace the placeholders with the sponsor's name and QID, the maid's name, QID, and passport number, and the date — then have it typed, translated into Arabic by a certified translation service, and signed or stamped as described above.
